The chaos-Inside out

Image
One fine day you wake up, You feel hazy and trying to refocus the things around you, The ceiling fan above is missing, so is your spectacles, the bed lamp is gone. There are no clocks in the room, The doors have changed its positions. The view from the balcony is different, But you seem indifferent. Indifferent to the sudden changes, Deferring the inevitable. You don't feel like bringing the things to its natural orders. The external chaos you are ready to embrace is it because of the turmoil inside.? PS: The image was made from the balcony of our home on a crazy evening.  Equipment: Nikon d7200 with 18-140mm lens. Shutter speed in the range of 1/5 to 1/30s(Hand Held) and hundred tries

Death filter

Image
Death a matter of insignificance, a process just like birth, reproduction: a small event happening in the cosmos until it is a death of your dear ones. It seems like the world is melting, everything is shrinking and the whole mass of imaginary ether pressing your head from above. Eyes get foggy even though the mind has understood what's happened completely. I had to face a rather obvious death couple of months ago, not an immediate kith or kin but yet a very obnoxious emotion clouded over me because of the death. The next few days of a death is intriguing & sad  - both  at the same time. The death remains Insignificant compared to the next few days of rigorous rituals which will help 'sending' the soul to its suitable adobe. A hundred restrictions that have to be followed by the loved ones especially if the dead is survived by a wife alone. And the processes are very very insensitive. There are so many diminutions which kind of constrict your tra...

Dreamscapes

Image
. Many a Thoughts linger at the back of my mind, Matters that  matter hindered in the grey matter. The distant calling of the crow, the sky is cracked, Embers of the setting sun, Hazy vision of the faraway building.. The electric lines are straight, yet entangled in the sky. The incandescent sun lit up my worldly terrace or is it just the bulb. The world seems as confused as my mind. Surrealism they call it, I call it the powers of the mind to mess with reality. Once out of the office, dodging the crazy Bangalore traffic your mind might not be functioning properly. This series is what   I felt coming home to those beautiful yet perplexing sunsets of the urban Bangalore. Dreamy because the very line which separates the dream and the reality tries to vanish itself while watching these sunsets, because a dream has multiple realms unlike reality. I have used zoom burst and multiple exposures to mess with the reality.

Chitradurga-fort, an unplanned visual story

Image
A cloudless sunny sky welcomed us to Chitradurga, a fort city located in the central Karnataka. The fort is in the heart of the city. The entrance of the fort wi th huge & aged rock walls made us feel so tinier in the time-space continuum. Looking at the rocks helped to push me into a deep contemplation. Further ahead, we had the opportunity to see Mr.Kothiraj climbing those invincible rocks. Perplexed with his ability & courage I managed to take a picture of him. And the man with the orange turban was a luck by chance. I have tried to relate the curving turban with the groovy rocks both symbols of a bygone era. Sun & we were in a race, one to climb up and another to race down. I managed to make a wide frame with Jokali Kamba & deepa sthamba with the sun to create a backlit image. The further climb was difficult as the steps vanished. A little but a steep climb to the top led us to beautiful approaching dusk, On the way i tried to capture a cactus with the dry rock and ...
